Jack and Sue McCutchan have been coming to Evergreen for over 30 years. They finally moved here in early 2000 and made Evergreen their permanent home.

Jack was born in Indiana in a small town just north of Indianapolis. Following graduation from Michigan State with a degree in Business and Residential Construction he entered the U.S. Marine Corps. As a Captain in the Marine Corps he served as a pilot and flew the F4 Phantoms, A6 Intruders, and the A4 Skyhawks for six years.

Jack and Sue settled in Indiana where Sue taught school and Jack managed and became part owner of a chain of building supply stores, and a land development and real-estate company. He also served as a director on the board of National City Bank. Jack and Sue have two children, Amy and Jay. Amy is a Doctor of Anaesthology at Indiana University Medical School.  Jay is living in Denver and working for Quest in their Business Sale Division.

Jack was an active Real Estate broker in Indiana for over 25 years and still holds an Indiana license. He is a graduate paralegal and has earned his CRS, GRI and ABR designation is a member of the Council of Residential Specialists and Real Estate Buyer Agent Council. He is a member of Rotary and is very active in the service and arts community. Jack has learned that success in any field boils down to “treating others the way you’d like to be treated”.

When Jack isn’t helping his Real Estate clients, he can be found working out or hitting golf balls. Although his handicap is rising, during the early 1990’s he qualified for the U.S. Amateur at Cherry Hills, the U.S. Sr. Open, and the U.S. Sr. Amateur. He also won the Indiana Sr. Open and Sr. Amateur. He is a jazz and blues musician and occasionally plays with groups in the Denver area and with the Denver Jazz Workshop.

Jack is best known for his good nature, negotiating skills, attention to details and integrity. He truly believes his clients are always “Number One”.

Sue, a former teacher and editor of the Jefferson County Historical Society Newsletter,  has done marketing for many of the top Realtors in Evergreen.  She is also active in volunteer work with The Denver Firefighters Museum.
